Research Presentation

Dr. Bolger recently participated in research aimed at better understanding sinus anatomy in an effort to improve surgical treatment and reduce risks for patients.  Elements of the research team’s findings were presented at the Annual Meeting of the European Rhinology Society in London on April 23rd, by Dr. Stammberger of the University of Graz, Austria and Dr. Zinriech of Johns Hopkins Medical Institute.  The presentation was entitled, “New Insights into Anterior Ethmoid / Frontal Recess Anatomy: Challenging the Cell-Based Concepts of Past and Present".

Congratualtions to Dr. Naseri, and co-authors Dr Hanel and VJ Anagnos, on the recent acceptance of their manuscipt, “Pituitary abcess: a rare clinical entity in the prescence of acute rhinosinusitis”, for publication in the Journal of Neurologic Surgery.

Dr. Bolger returns to the North Florida Sinus Center after traveling to snowy Buffalo, New York to participate in nearly a week of research and educational activities. He joined an international group of physicians and researchers from the State University of New York Medical School at Buffalo, Johns Hopkins Medical School and the Medical University at Graz, Austria. The research involved improving orientation and precision in surgical dissection in order to make surgery safer and less invasive for patients. Welcome back Dr. Bolger!

Dr. Naseri Teaches Office Based Surgery Course

Dr. Naseri was invited guest faculty for the Third Annual Course in Office-Based Sinus Surgery, March 24-28th, 2017 at the Ponte Vedra Lodge and Club.  ENT doctors attended the meeting from the local region and beyond. The course is designed for Otolaryngologist to develop a solid foundation of best practices and practical experience in office sinus surgery, and to introduce new technology, concepts, and techniques.
